Cupcakes are the newest, hottest thing on the wedding circuit. Carrie Underwood did it, Katie Holmes is rumored to have done it, my sister even did it. But besides that, cupcakes make the experience better - more flavor choices means more fun for everyone. Itʼs more cost efficient, not to mention whimsical. I hope you will join the hundreds of brides that have trusted in batter to make their wedding dessert experience above and beyond what you would ever expect from a cupcake.
We can provide for a wedding as small as 1 dozen cupcakes, or as large as you need. With years of experience at outdoor festivals like Gourmet on Gore, we have the ability to crank out cupcakes by the 1000s, but each one is just like the next – no cupcake goes unnoticed. Brushing shoulders with executive chefs from Sweet Basil, La Tour and Kelly Liken, we have standards that are just as elevated. Quality will never be sacrificed for quantity.
Since batter is a made-to-order cupcake business, meaning we make everything just for you and your party, we require a minimum order of 2 dozen per flavor in the mini size (1”) and 1 dozen per flavor in the classic size (2”). We also have a texas size cupcake (5”) that is perfect for brides & grooms. It is the perfect compliment to our classic sized cupcakes, not to mention a cute alternative to the traditional personal sized cake. Batter starts accepting inquiries 12 months in advance of the wedding date. We prefer to have all details finalized 2 months prior to the wedding date, accompanied with a 50% deposit of the total due. But, if youʼve been putting it off, please donʼt hesitate to contact us because during the summer wedding season, weʼre always baking and would be thrilled to make your big day special.
Batter typically reserves cupcake tastings for brides and grooms. If you happen to be from out of town & you have close family or friends near vail that would be a good judge of cupcake, then we can coordinate a tasting that way also. The way we keep tastings cost-free is to bring a nice representation of what we do best. If you have specific flavors in mind, please donʼt hesitate to mention it, and we will do our best to represent them in the selection.
Batter currently has several stand rentals available to rent for the duration of your event. Please feel free to pull inspiration from the photos throughout the website, but do remember that some of the cupcake stands were provided by the customer and not us. what to expect
Once you place an order through batter, we will send you a proposal that reflects all the details of your event including event date & time, flavors, quantity, sizes, stand rentals, delivery windows, set up fees, and taxes. Once the proposal is approved by the customer, batter accepts a 50% deposit of the total amount due. The other 50% is collected 2 weeks before your date.
The biggest complaint about wedding cake here in the Vail Valley is that itʼs dry! Ick! Why bother! Batter prefers to deliver cupcakes no more than 2 hours before the eventʼs start time. With the lovely dry air here in the rocky mountains, the cupcakes will lose their moist texture when left exposed for long periods of time. We have found that placing them in airtight containers immediately after the baking & cooling period – and keeping them there – until delivery time – locks in ultimate freshness. If you have any leftover cupcakes after your special event, we highly recommend putting them in an airtight container overnight.
