Batter was hand-picked by the Food Network’s Executive Producers as the first cupcake bakery in Colorado to appear on ‘Cupcake Wars’ in 2012! The episode in which we went to battle was “Year of the Cupcake,” with a Chinese New Year theme. Batter’s Bakeshop is located at 8150 feet, nestled in the mountains of the Vail Valley. Batter anticipated sea level baking in Los Angeles where the show is filmed, but didn’t realize how different the cupcakes would bake in the short amount of time allotted in each round. This led to an early boot from the competition, but we have to say it was the best experience of our lives!
Batter has had the opportunity to showcase our talents in the National Spotlight as well as in our hometown of Vail, which happens to be an internationally recognized ski resort and a breath-taking destination all year long.
